What to Expect From a Sclerotherapy Treatment
Leg vein injections are minimally invasive and work well for most patients; however, not everyone is a good candidate, and not every vein can be treated. Women are not eligible while pregnant and must wait at least three months after delivery before being considered for the procedure. If you have experienced a blot clot at any point, your eligibility will be determined by a vascular specialist. Depending on the extremity and cause of the clot, you may or may not be eligible. It is also important to note that not every vein can be treated. Veins that can potentially be used for future surgical bypass procedures will not be considered.
