Are you looking for an easy way to improve your skin? Love the results you get with laser treatment, but hate the recovery time? Profractional laser treatment from Boulder Plastic Surgery might be for you.

What is Profractional Laser Treatment?

Profractional laser skin treatment is one of the easiest ways to make your skin look young again. Instead of using a laser system to treat the whole surface of your skin, profractional lasers pinpoint specific areas with perfect accuracy, causing minimal damage to your skin tissue and letting your skin heal quickly and with little pain. It targets wrinkles, fine lines, sun damage, scars, and other skin damage. When you’re done with a profractional laser treatment, your skin will look young and vibrant and feel strong and supple!

How Does It Work?

Profractional laser treatment uses an erbium laser just micrometers wide to create small channels in the skin, which are surrounded by areas of skin that hasn’t been treated. The untreated skin jump-starts the healing process while the laser-treated areas start your skin producing more collagen. This makes your skin plump and taut, while it smoothes out scars and wrinkles.

What Do I Need To Complete the Procedure?

You may need other laser procedures, such as a micro laser peel or a photorejuvenation laser system, in order to provide more dramatic results. Most patients will need at least four sessions of the profractional laser treatment, usually spaced at intervals of a month and a half up to three months. You’ll also need to perform a pre-conditioning skincare program, using Retinol or Retin A and hydroquinone topical products or other comparable skin technology.

What Are the Side Effects?

Most people who undergo the profractional laser skin treatment experience some redness or swelling on their skin, although this usually goes away in just a couple of days. While deeper treatments may provide more dramatic and immediate results for you, they do require more downtime for healing, which can be inconvenient or painful for many.

How Much Will My Skin Improve?

Your results after the profractional laser treatment will vary, of course–it all depends on your skin type, the type of damage you’re healing, and other medical factors that normally affect a skin treatment. You’ll also need to keep a program of home skin care to help you heal, in order to keep and encourage your skin’s improvement.

Combine with PRP

PRP involves separating blood into various components. The platelets help with tissue regeneration, and when combined with the Profractional Laser, PRP can reach deeper into the treated areas to help improve skin textures.
