IPL (Intense Pulse Light) also known as BBL (Broad Band Light) Rejuvenation

IPL or BBL is an innovative technology that sets the highest standard for treating skin conditions associated with aging, active life styles, and sun damage. Using a broad band of laser light, this breakthrough treatment can remove age and sun spots, redness, rosacea, sun damage, acne and decrease wrinkles leaving your skin smoother, more vibrant and younger looking.

This treatment utilizes the power of pulsed light to deliver energy deep into the skin, where it removes the cells that produce brown discoloration and diminishes the tiny blood vessels that cause redness, while stimulating the production of collagen. As the skin heals after the treatment, it will have fewer age and sun spots, redness and facial capillaries, while the texture will appear smoother and softer with some mild skin tightening.

Any area of the body can be treated. The most common areas are those exposed to the damaging effects of sunlight such as the face, neck, chest, hands, arms and back.

Patients often require two to five treatments, at two to four week intervals. Results will improve with each session and you will enjoy smoother skin, smaller pore size and a more even complexion. Redness and dark areas will begin to fade away, while your skin will feel tighter and look more vibrant.

There is little post treatment discomfort and you can return to normal activities immediately, however, you may experience mild redness for the first day or two following the treatment. Brown spots on the skin will darken as they move to the surface before flaking off and fading about one week after treatment.

Direct sun exposure is to be avoided for two weeks before and after treatment. The use of a good sunscreen is important. Skin care products and instructions may be given prior to and after the treatment to minimize the risk of inflammation or redness and ensure a shorter healing time.
