There are so many amazing things that I want to convey that I am afraid I won't do this review justice. Dr. Maxhimer and Claudia are a dream team. They are so good at tag-teaming and keeping each other up to date on patient needs and progress that it boosted my confidence in my results during each weekly visit. I had quite a bit of work done - abdominoplasty, blepharoplasty, breast lift and augmentation. Claudia's ability to understand where I was at and what I was feeling at each stage of recovery was so helpful. She was ready with whatever I needed, anticipated each question, but let me ask it anyway, and helped me transition from post-op to healed with such ease that honestly, I was sad at the thought of not having our weekly chats anymore. She is a gem! I have had a substantial number of surgeries in my lifetime - all non-elective, so while I was not scared of surgery, I was very nervous for the outcome. I should never have been concerned. Dr. Maxhimer is smart and super down to earth. He has a sense of humor, he treats you like you are his friend, and he cheers right along with you as you start to see the results during recovery. He is encouraging by nature, so easy to talk to, and I needed that when contemplating massive overhaul at 52! I am now at week 7 post-op and feel amazing. Heather did a HALO laser treatment on my face and neck and an IPL on my hands and I couldn't be happier with the results. She is an amazing aesthetician and a true perfectionist. Plus she's just so sweet and fun! I'll definitely be going back for future treatments.

I highly recommend this Plastic Surgery group. The Physicians are fully Board Certified M.D. Plastic Surgeons, and they have fully Board Certified M.D. Anesthesiologists doing their Anesthesia procedures. As an Internal medicine Physician, I was apprehensive as to who, exactly, would be doing my surgery, and who would be managing my airway and my anesthesia ( my Physician colleagues and I see cases more and more frequently of people who have not graduated from 4 years of Medical School, not done a minimum of 1 year of year-round Internship, not done a minimum of 3 years' year-round Residency, not done additional rigorous Fellowship training in their Surgical or Anesthesiology specialty, are not Board Certified from their national and fully accredited Specialy Board(s)and have catastrophic outcomes . A trial just occurred 2 weeks ago in Denver w/ just such a case ( Denver Post, June 14, 2023. "CO plastic surgeon acquitted of homicide in teen patient's death, convicted on lesser charges ").I was relieved to have Dr. Maxhimer explain to me that he would be doing my Surgery, and that a Board Certified Anesthesiologist would be doing my anesthesia. I was amazed at how quickly and seamlessly my surgery went. We are fortunate to have such a high level group here in Boulder. I will return to them if needed, and have referred several people to them. Thank you.

I had liposuction on my stomach and thighs and under my chin. I’ve never had any surgical procedures before so I was nervous but Dr. Rouch and his team were warm, patient and reassuring from start to finish. I’m now 6 months out from my reconstructive surgery. I finally feel ready to reflect on my experience. Dr. Hartley is an artist. I knew my body was "under there" somewhere, and in just one consult and then the day of surgery, Dr. Hartley knew were it was. He was able to precisely uncover the "me" I always knew was there with skill, kindness, compassion and care. I was initially unsure about having my procedure done, but once I had my consultation with Dr. Hartley, all of my questions and concerns were answered. After nursing 3 kids it definitely takes a toll on your breasts! I had always considered breast augmentation but was pretty nervous about it. A friend of mine recommended Boulder Plastic Surgery, so I decided to finally book a consultation. After meeting with Dr Hartley, I knew I was going to go through with it. He was so informative and I found comfort in the fact that he had so much experience. The main thing I was so pleased with was that he wanted me to find a picture or two of breast size and shapes that I desired so he could make sure to replicate that! It was nice to know I wasn’t going to just get some “cookie cutter” implant, but rather an implant that suited my desired look. It was honestly as simple as that… I brought in a picture the day of surgery and woke up to exactly what I had wanted. I couldn’t be happier! Not only was Dr Hartley so amazing, but his staff and the whole practice itself was so intimate and nice. This was my first surgery and it felt as though I was in the comfort of my own home. HIGHLY recommend!

Just 14 years after breast (post-cancer)reconstruction, the implants ruptured, which I found hard to believe! Additionally, I wasn't thrilled with the results aesthetically. I'll add that revisiting post-cancer surgery brings up negative feelings, and it was difficult to face. Dr. Hartley's very kind, supportive and postive manner set me at ease. I asked if he could also repair a scar from a recent emergency abdominal surgery ("scar revision"); he felt he could improve it. And lastly, I decided I didn't want to have another surgery without walking away with some cosmetic anti-aging improvement. I had become self-conscious about my neck. So, I chose to go for it, and had all three done at once! Dr. Hartley did a fantastic job! The neck surgery was easy! Much easier than I could have imagined, it healed quickly and I'm thrilled--it looks completely natural and took 10-15 years off me! So natural that no one even notices! He replaced the ruptured implants with better updated implants, and improved the look aesthetically tremendously. I feel much better about that. The nasty after-effects of my recent emergency abdominal surgery are gone--(layers of scar tissue removed and the scar revision was a great success!). I am SO happy about this! It truly looks great. I'll add that Dr. Hartley has successfully "repaired" my son's lip (when punched by a kid in school!), a friend's cheek following a dog bite and so much more. He's a tremendous talent and resource, and we are very fortunate to have him in our community! Don't put off having it done--he makes it easy and so worthwhile! I can't say enough on behalf of Dr. Hartley. Feeling like the best of myself again, I'm very grateful.

I met with a plastic surgeon years ago for an upper/lower eye lid procedure. The recovery seemed too difficult at the time. After several friends highly recommended Hartley, I decided to meet with him this spring. He suggested a brow lift and the lower lids. With his explanation of the recovery, I was much more at ease. It could not have been an easier procedure/recovery! The swelling and bruising were gone in weeks. I couldn't be happier with the results!

I am so incredibly happy with my decision to have Dr. Hartley perform my breast augmentation. I had my first breast augmentation 11 years ago in Florida when I was 21 years old. The results were less than desirable and I felt even more self-conscious after surgery, that I had them removed about 18 months later. After having breast implants for 23 years I decided it was time to get them removed . It was the absolute best decision I made. Dr. Hartley and his team are great! I had a breast augmentation. My first consult he was very nice and reassuring. We went over options and what I wanted. His nurse was great, she answered all my questions no matter how insane they were. Pre-op went well, very thorough explanation of how I should prepare for surgery and what to expect. Day of surgery I met the whole team that was going to be in the room with me they were great! When I woke up everything had gone smoothly. I was given my after instructions and a follow up apt. I am really impressed how I was treated and felt like I was welcome. I had gone on one other consult and I didn't feel as comfortable with that team as I did with Dr. Hartley and his team. My other half really liked him as well, he was engaging with everyone where he wasn't at the consult with the other practice. They are available through email or phone call if I have any questions or concerns and have gotten back to me very quickly. I had my surgery after everything had opened up from the COVID restrictions. I was scheduled to have it right before. Dr. Hartley personally called me to let me know when they reopened i would get rescheduled and again asked if i had questions. I consulted with Dr. Hartley about implant replacement and breast lift. My implants were 35 years old (I'm 62 now). While consulting with Dr Hartley I mentioned that I would be back for a neck lift. He suggested that I think about having everything done now so that I would only have one surgery and recovery. After giving this thought, I booked a second consultation as I had more questions than I had at the original breast consultation. Dr Hartley was happy to provide me with a second consultation at no charge. Dr Hartley was and is a very good listener, has an excellent bedside manner and answers questions truthfully and fully. His idea of beauty is natural and to fit with the structure and frame of the woman he is performing surgery on. Dr. Hartley and his staff made me feel very secure and well cared for. Now 8 weeks post surgery (and I did do breast, neck and face) I am amazed at the wonderful change in both my body and neck/face. Dr. Hartley did everything he said he would do and my result is natural and fitting for my age and body. My scars are healing very well and I have had no issue or complications as a result of the surgery. I was just looking through some pictures of myself that were clearly before I went to Dr. Maxhimer for a cosmetic consultation six years ago. I was 45 years old then and have been aging gracefully with him ever since! How do you know you’ve chosen an honest and ethical plastic surgeon? When he tells you “no” if you ask for more fillers that you don’t need or “we’re not there yet” when you talk to him about a face lift. I tell everyone that I talk to about cosmetic enhancements to never waste money going to a nurse who took a weekend course on how to do cosmetic injections. It’s your face and you should work with a plastic surgeon who knows every nerve and muscle involved! Because Dr. Maxhimer has had years of extraordinary training he is a master at making his patients look natural. When I leave his office, I don’t look like I’ve gotten botox and fillers – I look youthful and vibrant. I must also mention that I am an oncology nurse at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center in Boulder and Dr. Maxhimer is well known in our circle. I have heard from our patients that go see him for breast reconstruction after a mastectomy that he provides great comfort during their entire process. Dr. Maxhimer performed my reconstruction following bilateral mastectomy due to breast cancer. Not only is he experienced, knowledgeable, and skilled; he is friendly and helpful. He is approachable, answers questions, and guided me through every step of a complicated process. Honestly, I was thankful to find a doctor this great at a time in my life when I really needed one. In addition, his office was efficient in scheduling and keeping appointments and his staff was unfailingly courteous and congenial.

Dr Hartley and his staff are amazing. I had a breast reduction and it has changed my life. He and his nurse were so easy to talk with. Prior to the surgery everything was explained in a professional caring way in great detail to where I really had no questions . I pretty much was made very aware of everything that was going to happen and what I would experience during and afterwards so there wouldn’t be any surprises. The anesthesiologist was also very clear telling me he would never leave my side and would constantly monitor everything. I have been going to Dr. Hartley for years. He is very professional and his staff is outstanding. He and his staff was very empathetic and caring throughout the entire process of placing the tissue expanders, filling them and then the final surgery. Dr. Maxhimer performed my explant surgery with a lift in September. During my consultation, he made me feel comfortable, and did not disregard my concerns about breast implant illness. He was patient to answer all of my questions, and explained the procedure. He, and his nurse MaryAnn as well as the office staff were all amazingly supportive post-op. I had little pain and my results are better than I could have imagined.

Dr. Maxhimer performed bilateral breast reconstruction which included placement of AlloDerm and tissue expanders, followed by an implant exchange procedure and nipple reconstruction. After my diagnosis and before my bilateral mastectomy, I faced a very stressful situation and needed quickly to choose a plastic surgeon for my reconstruction. I did a lot of research, and after my first consultation with Dr. Maxhimer, I felt confident he met all of my criteria. Dr. Maxhimer’s meticulous eye for detail makes him an incredible surgeon. From his eye for detail, symmetry, and nipple placement, to the balancing of fat grafting, down to the look of the incision scars, I received the best possible outcome I could have hoped for. I was referred to Dr Maxheimer by my breast cancer surgeon. First time I met him he told me he would be my silver lining. He has been so much more. Even once they take me into the rooms they return quickly (only leaving long enough to undress and put your gown on). Also I really appreciate that I had the same nurse every visit. I was diagnosed with a carcinogenic melanoma on the top of my nose. The dermatologist had to remove approximately 6 layers of skin, leaving only cartilage. Thankfully the dermatologist removed all the cancer from nose. But he had to refer me to Dr. Hartley for plastic surgery to rebuild my nose. My husband and I were beyond scared nervous and worried when my husband and I went to see Dr. Hartley and his team. Dr. Hartley and Summer met with us and Dr. Hartley explained my options. The median forehead flap would be my best bet. So I was scheduled for surgery and the entire staff and especially Dr. Hartley took extra special care of us and made sure we understood the entire processes, and the fact that I had to have a second surgery 3 weeks after the 1 st surgery. It has now been a little over a month since both procedures have been completed! I am healing very nicely and my scars are looking better everyday! I highly recommend Dr. Hartley and his team for any plastic procedures that you might need to have completed. I have never been so blessed to encounter such a wonderful, friendly and compassionate medical team, and I've been through a lot of surgurys and medical issues, not just plastic surgery. I met Dr Maxhimer and his then nurse Maryanne in 2016 for implant replacement and reduction. I felt so welcome the minute I walked into my consultation and they took a lot of time with me explaining my procedure. I had that surgery in April 2016 then came back later for a lift and adomoplasty after I had lost quite a bit of weight. most of us dread going to the Dr but they are so kind and funny and careing, they treat you like family not dollar signs. this is when I met Tani for my second surgery. I was a pain in their behind, I had so many questions, but they never made me feel like I was any trouble and always made time for my silly questions. after that surgery, I was healing beautifully and so so happy with my results. he is an amazing artist and very precise. well 4 months into my recovery I had to have emergency back surgery and when I woke up my perfectly flat stomach from my adomoplasty had a huge distended bubble on one side. I was mortified. my spine dr explained that sometimes a nerve wraps around the abdomen after such an intense surgery. D Maxhimer could of just said there was nothing he could do because it wasn't part of his work, but he got me in and did some sort of lipo to relieve the pressure and scar tissue. this was 2 weeks ago and he is a miracle worker. God Bless him. he fixed me right up. I'm still recovering, but get so many compliments on what a cute figure I have at the age of 53. I don't know how I could ever repay him, for his kindness and generosity. he is worth way way more then what he charges. its very evident he is in this practice to make people feel good about them selfs and not for the money. and I'm not ashamed when people ask me how I look so good at my age to say I had some help.i give all the credit to Dr maxhimer, and his staff. and I do

I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I found this practice for my reconstruction. They have been so wonderful! I joke with them I am going to keep getting plastic surgery just to see them! Dr. Maxhimmer is amazing. He is compassionate beyond words. I could just hug him. He is a perfectionist too, and with reconstruction I would say that is a great thing!!! His nurse Tani is just as wonderful. Her compassion stems from her mother having breast cancer. Breast reconstruction is not elective. The choice of doctors is truly important. You spend a lot of time with your plastic surgeon, more than any one else, even the oncologist!! I would recommend this practice to everyone! But especially Dr. Maxhimmer and Tani. Dr. Kuisle is a sculpture and I'm his work of art! From the first consultation to my post op visits I have been beyond happy every step of the way. His nurse Sandy is also amazing! I expected to experience some pain and discomfort, but it was very minimal discomfort and I couldn't be happier with my results. I felt like Dr. Kuisle took his time educating me on my surgery. There is so much to say about the wonderful Dr. Hartley it's hard to know where to begin. Over the last 5 years, I've been seeing him for botox and other minor cosmetic work, and when it was time to contemplate addressing a particular body improvement, he was the only one I considered. Dr. Hartley is a top plastic surgeon and a very talented practitioner. He has the pedigree and the experience so you're in the best possible hands. But I think part of what sets him apart from so many others is his wonderful personality, warmth and charisma. From GPs to specialists to surgeons, meeting with medical professionals isn't usually a pleasant experience; it's certainly not something you look forward to. Being around Dr. Hartley just makes you feel good, even when addressing a body part that makes you feel bad! He never feels like he's rushed or rushing you and it's obvious that he just really loves his job. His staff from the nurses to the front desk administrators reflect this positive attitude, and the offices and facility is what you'd expect from doctors at this level- perfect. Finally, coming from New York, I find his fees to be really reasonable. Considering he's a top in his field (and generally considered to be in the very best practice in Boulder), I think he could probably charge more with no questions asked. I appreciate that he doesn't and therefore can take patients with more modest budgets. To summarize: great doctor, great guy, great experience!

I was very nervous; I'd never had stitches before and was worried about both the process and the potential for a scar. Dr. Maxheimer calmed me down before expertly sewing up the cut. I highly recommend Boulder Plastic Surgery over a standard dermatologist if you are considering having facial moles removed- only a few days after my stitches have been removed, and I'm almost completely healed.

After having two kids, gaining weight and losing 65 pounds, I decided to invest in myself. After narrowing my selection down to two surgeons, I ended up going with Dr. Maxhimer. It was the best decision I've ever made and was truly life-changing. Together we came up with my surgical plan and I ended up having a tummy tuck, liposuction to my flanks and a breast reduction with small implants for upper pole fullness. Dr. Maxhimer always had my safety and best interest in mind. Even though the photos I gave him for ideas did not line up with what I was saying, Dr. Maxhimer was able to weed through my gibberish and determine what I truly wanted. He always treated me with dignity and respect and is one of the most compassionate doctors I've ever worked with. His nurse Tani is great, as well. My results ended up exceeding my expectations and he has truly blessed me with a new body and has forever changed my life.

I needed breast implant revision and they were both capsulated. I was a bit nervous after a surgery gone bad. This place came highly recommended from a friend. I met with Dr. Hartley and instantly knew this was the right place for me. He was excellent and I am extremely happy with my results. Everyone in that office made my entire experience phenomenal.

We recently transplanted to the Boulder area from California. In summer of 2016, I began my search for a surgeon to address my hypertropic scarring and \"dog ear\" skin folds following a 2012 breast reduction, and to give me a \"refreshed\" look. I am 54 years old, and no stranger to plastic surgery/non-surgical procedures, having had both very good and very poor results, so researching potential practitioners was of paramount importance. I \"interviewed\" several people, and after my consult with Dr. Hartley, I knew he was my choice. His professionalism, knowledgeable recommendations, and straightforward communication style helped me decide on the right course of treatment -- (Face - removed upper eyelid skin/fatty tissue, mid-face lift, under chin lipo. Breast Area - revised hypertropic under breast scarring, remove excess \"dog ear\" skin, under arm lipo) - and I am more than pleased with the results. We did do a small post-op revision on one eyelid (one side stored more fatty tissue than the other) but it was very easily resolved, to my absolute satisfaction, in-office after a few months of healing. I have since returned to Dr. Hartley for another scar revision and filler for my upper cheeks. Again, i went with his expert recommendation (Voluma) and again, I couldn\'t be happier with the results. My experiences with this practice ( including the surgery center & BPS nursing staff) have been 100% positive, and I would wholeheartedly recommend both Dr Hartley and Boulder Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Hartley has performed several reconstructive procedures on my face following Mohs surgeries to remove skin cancer. One procedure was especially challenging given the size of the excision (requiring a skin graft), but thanks to Dr. Hartley’s expertise I have a nearly invisible scar as a result. I trust Dr. Hartley and his team implicitly and highly recommend Boulder Plastic Surgery.

Dear Friend, You are looking for a plastic surgeon so I wanted to write a review about Dr. Winn Hartley at Boulder Plastic Surgery. I am only out day four from surgery but I needed to let the world know how happy I am. I was treated so kindly. Dr. Harley did exactly what we agreed upon and I was in good hands from the very beginning. The support not only from the staff and Dr. Hartley was amazing but I am also grateful for all the supplements that are included in the cost of the surgery. I feel healthier than before I had the surgery. My face is still healing, of course, but I can see the results will be just what he said: I look refreshed, not like a different person, still me, but rested! I have no problem talking to potential clients so just let their office know when you read my review and they can call me so I can speak with you over the phone. I waited 20 years and this will be the best Christmas in ages. I hated looking at myself in the mirror and I hated photos. I have been going to IV Seasons Skin Care for about a year now. I am 46 years old and, because of a history of working in the sun, had some serious pigmentation problems that I wanted to address. Through a series of gradual, low-impact procedures and a recommended course of daily topical applications, my skin tone has evened out *tremendously*, and all without any down time (i.e. I could leave the office after a treatment and go about my daily business without anyone being able to tell). I chose this more low-impact approach knowing it would take longer to achieve results, but I couldn't be happier. My only regret is that I am now moving out-of-state and I can only hope to find a place half as good as IV Seasons in my new location. While my pigmentation issue is no longer a problem, I still want the benefits of regular treatment to keep my skin looking its best in this harsh environment (dry, sun, outdoor activity, etc.) along with daily application of sunscreen, of course! :-)
